WorldCargo News 关于振华(ZPMC)的评述。
WCN's 13th Annual Ship-to-Shore Crane Survey
Pages: 8,000 words with extensive tables and statistics
The 13th Annual STS Crane Survey has been published as part of the July issue of WorldCargo News. The Survey, which runs to over 8,000 words and includes extensive tables and statistics, covers the period July 2005-June 2006. It includes supplier analysis with detailed tabulated statistics on container gantry crane orders and key features of new orders such as outreach, drive type, hoist and trolley speed. As well as an accompanying commentary, there are additional articles examining twin 40/45ft handling, 22-row outreach cranes and spreader/terminal productivity.
Last year’s record figure of 334 for new ship-to-shore crane orders (measured July-June) has not quite been reached this time around. The latest returns to WorldCargo News show 323 new cranes, of which ZPMC accounts for 240. Of these, 123 are for terminals located outside China (including SAR Hong Kong). ZPMC’s export orders include 29 cranes for terminals operated by APM Terminals either alone or as a joint venture; 17 for D P World operations/joint ventures; and 12 for Hutchison Port Holdings’ operations/joint ventures.
The main reason why last year’s record has not been matched is that the whole of ZPMC’s 18-crane order for Euromax Rotterdam, which runs into 2008, was included in WorldCargo News’ 2005 figures. Deliveries commence at the end of this year and will mostly be made during 2007. Four of the cranes are small ship/barge handlers, with a waterside outreach of 36m.
The others have an outreach of 64m, sufficient for a 23-wide deck stow. It seems likely that Maersk will be pulling out of the Euromax joint venture (see this issue p12), so it would become a 100% venture of Hutchison (ECT). Projecting ahead, ZPMC appears to be in a kind of “steady state.” As of the end of June this year, the company had a total of 156 cranes booked for 2007 delivery, compared to 150 cranes for 2006 delivery as of the end of June 2005. All other OEMs together are reporting 46 cranes for delivery in 2007. In July 2005, the equivalent figure for 2006 delivery was around 75.
Taken together, these figures suggest that the market is slowing down. If that is the case, then 2006 will turn out to be the peak year for crane deliveries. WorldCargo News estimates that a total of 330-335 cranes will be delivered during calendar 2006, compared to about 250 in each of 2004 and 2005...
