Phönix SonnenStrom AG交出利润翻翻季报
October 25, 2005
Sulzemoos, Germany: Phönix SonnenStrom AG Financial Results At Record High
In the first nine months of the current financial year, German solar integrator, Phönix SonnenStrom AG generated sales of EUR 64.2 million, EBIT stood at EUR 4.0 million, and the profit for the period reached EUR 3.4 million.
The Board of Directors has therefore raised its EBIT forecast again for the financial year as a whole. As compared with the previous-year period, sales rose 35 percent, up from EUR 47.4 million to EUR 64.2 million, which means that the level of annual sales in 2004 (EUR 67.2 million) has virtually been already achieved within the first nine months.
EBIT soared 145 percent to EUR 4.05 million (Jan. - Sept. 2004: EUR 1.65 million). Profit for the period came to EUR 3.39 million (Jan. - Sept. 2004: EUR 1.53 million). With a total of 5,525,000 issued shares, earnings per share were EUR 0.61 (Jan. - Sept. 2004: EUR 0.30).
The EBIT margin, which is the ratio of EBIT to sales, climbed to 6.3 percent in the period from January to September (Jan. - Sept. 2004: 3.5 percent), thus reaching the highest level in the company's history.
Owing to the positive sales and profit trend seen in the third quarter and the full order book for the fourth quarter in which, among other orders, the two large-scale photovoltaic power plants "Miegersbach" and "Reußenköge" will be completed, the Board of Directors has once again revised its forecast upwards for 2005. Given a 40 percent growth in sales, EBIT is expected to at least double in a year-on-year comparison.
Whereas Phönix SonnenStrom AG has so far drawn up its accounts under the German Commercial Code (HGB), the annual financial statements for 2005 will be prepared for the first time pursuant to the criteria laid down by the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The company thus continues to align itself with the requirements of the international capital market.
