Trader 1: You need a very large trading account to justify paying $600 a month and thats with no exchanges. Totaly insane, folks who use this must have money to burn, or they are an instution and just writes off this as a expence. This is out of reach for most traders. CQG is way overpriced.
Trader 2: I've been using CQG for a while now. I'm a professional fulltime trader and can't imagine using anything else. A while I go, I tried to research other products as a replacement, but I haven't found one that combines the rock solid data feed, no down time and power of CQG. It is pricey, but it is worth every nickle and dime.
Trader 3: Yes, it is more expensive than most futures trading data/software products, but CQG is not for the recreational trader. If you are interested in trading and not maintaining data, excellent analytics, historical data, flexible sutdies, the ability to write own indicators and studies, plus perfect charts, there is no comparison.
Trader 4: I have been trading for ten years and always used CQG -it is an outstanding and versatile product, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who is serious about trading. As for the cost, peanuts and monkeys, and in this game, you need to be right in the front, or you're buggered.
Trader 5: I've been using CQG for the last 3 years, since switching from Aspen Graphics (whch is a great platform but the data vendors weren't that reliable), I've never had a problem with bad ticks or lost data on CQG. It's rock solid and very user friendly.
Trader 6: But why in CQG do not understand that they have the best product but they have to make it open to others parties and to find an different positioning? Why the management is so void of enterepreneurial creativity and so " out of the real world"?
Trader 7: Quality no doubt, but in order to justify the cost you would need a 500k trading account. That amounts to a little more that 1% annualy. Out of my league for now.
